“The Hunt” Contains Only a Shred of Truth About the Horrific Crimes

- With her book “The Hunt: Me and War Criminals”, where she speaks about the fact that the Serbs were taken to death camps in Albania, Carla Del Ponte is only trying to clean her dirty conscience, to take the blame off herself and downplay the illegalities she’s been governed with in her work, – Maria Lina Veca, Italian author, reporter, filmmaker and the President of the humanitarian organization RinascereOnlus said in an interview to the Kosovo Serb magazine Hvosno.

- The human organs trade and all the inconceivable monstrosities Albanian extremists have subjected the innocent Serbs to — the civilians, young people, taking them to the terrorist death camps in Albania, according to my findings, were known to Del Ponte since the year 2000. And what did she do about that up until today?!

Q: The Hague tribunal [ICTY, the "International Criminal Court for Former Yugoslavia"] helped cover up the truth…?

MLV: Everything you read in Del Ponte’s book is probably only a tiny shred of the truth, but it serves the purpose of justifying… Del Ponte knew this horrific story about the Serbs being killed in order to extract their organs — to trade and sell off parts of the killed Serbs — eight years ago. What could possibly had prevented her to tell about it in 2000?!

Q: You suspected back in 1999 that “something is off”…?

MLV: It was indicative in that year, and through the 2000, when I found out in the conversations with the Italian surgeons who are transplanting the organs and work in both state and private clinics, that the price of the organs in the market had abruptly fallen down. They told me there was a “large supply”, that there are plenty of human organs available for transplantation. I have been following that story since then, writing, traveling, asking questions, researching, visiting the families of the kidnapped in Kosovo and Metohija…

Maria Lina Veca believes Serbian state must carry the torch in organ trafficking investigation, and try to overcome the fact neither Albanians, nor EU or NATO officials will enable it to reach the truth, by getting connected with international organizations interested in exposing this particular type of atrocities.

“Above all, your state must be more actively involved in exposing the criminals, whoever they may be. Let none of your officials think someone else will do that for them. It must ensue from your experts, teams of professionals who are truly committed, and courageous most of all, because here you have the rotten-to-the-bone criminals, and the chain which is very long, strong and heavily guarded. It is a major question who else is involved,” Veca said, adding that “Serbia has to form its own chain of investigation, in order to have a much higher number of organ extraction atrocities discovered than the numbers officially recognized.”

UNMIK and NATO Most Responsible for the Worst Crime in 21st Century Against the Serbs

“International institutions engaged in Kosovo and Metohija bear huge responsibility for the greatest crime in the 21st century committed against the Serbs. In the first place, those are the UNMIK and KFOR ["Kosovo Force", under NATO auspices]. They knew where these concentration camps are located in Albania, they knew a lot, but haven’t moved their little finger. Hague witness K-144/2003 admitted, as a participant, that the local KLA command was freely carrying out the kidnappings.”

Maria Lina Veca told Hvosno Serbia must get connected with the international organizations interested in the case of trade in the organs of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija.

- Serbia has to make its own chain of investigation, in order to find where and in which year the number of transplant surgeries carried out abruptly jumped up in comparison to the usual numbers. What can we find out about the donors, are they the unknown persons, or do they have the full first and last name? where are they from…? This was probably happening in Germany, Switzerland, I hear in Turkey too, and in the other Western countries. So, rest assured it is the whole army of miscreants that was engaged in this, many of whom unfortunately doctors by profession, and all of it of course in secrecy and following a plan…

Q: You inquired about the price of services, i.e. the transplantation of the organs in Italy and in EU, and found out who was getting the money. In that sense, you have mentioned the witness K-144 (2003) who testified in the Hague?

MLV: As revealed by the Hague witness K-144, everything was done under the general command of Hashim Thaci. According to this witness, young and healthy Serbs were first subjected to the medical checkups, and then taken to the concentration camps in Albania, near Tirana. He also explained that he saw a book in which the earnings from the trade of the vital organs were pedantically recorded. The witness said that this book still exists, and that it is in Thaci’s hands. The going rates were 10,000-30,000 euros for a kidney, €50,000 for the liver, and the price of the heart would be negotiated, because that was the most expensive and the most profitable job.

- The earnings, the whole 80 percent, of course, went to the top KLA command, while the remaining 20 percent went to the other participants in the organ-trade chain. I also know that in the vicinity of the town of Burrel in Albania, there was a pit which contained remains of more than hundred Serbs, which were transferred elsewhere in 2003. Unfortunately, the dead cannot speak, they can’t defend themselves… Regarding this witness — he was a direct participant, part of UÇK, an Albanian. All is clear! Bodies were buried, and those mass graves were either covered with concrete, or the bodies were mixed in with concrete. It is easier to hide the crimes that way.

KLA Organ Extraction — A Devastating Defeat for Europe

Q: According to your findings, there is a morgue in Pristina in which there are the bodies of our men, but no one has access to it…

MLV: I spoke about that with the [Serbian] representatives of the Coordination Center for Kosovo and Metohija back in 2000. Even then, and even some Albanians, told me there are two times more Serbs in that morgue than the Albanians. Those are the unidentified bodies. Of course they can be traced down — there is the DNA analysis. Clearly, the Serbs and the Serbian institutions are not allowed an access there. I requested several times to be allowed to go there, but all I encountered was the wall of silence and prohibitions. I went to the Research-Criminalistic Center, which is under the NATO control, but in vain, I was not allowed to go. Now with the EULEX arriving — an organization I do not accept because they recognize an illegal independence of Kosovo and Metohija — I fear it will be much worse for the Serbs there. The EULEX will hardly help reach the truth about the human organ trafficking. They are not there to protect the Serbs! Human organ trafficking is a major defeat for the civilized, democratic Europe, and a tragedy with the unforeseeable consequences.
